A very good image, even for a 4/3 format. There are very few damaged frame, the definition is sometimes very impressive, and the colors vivid. Nothing special to complain about here, the only way to really improve this image would be with a 16/9 version.

sound

The usual 5.1 remix, with clear dialogs and music, and some too clear sound effects, like this damn bird singing during each outdoor scene. If there is something to change in the first Celestial DVDs, it would surely be those remixes for the original mono. It's not really bad, but it's sometimes a little bit annoying, much more than a 4/3 image.

Excellent quality.

special features

A good value for the price, with the usual trailers, photos, bios, filmos and posters, plus two interviews with english subs (David Chiang and Ching Li). Both of them talk more about their career rather than about Blood Brothers. Quite interesting, and with english subs.

menus

The usual animated menus with a nice cover.

quality/price ration

Except this slightly annoying 5.1 remix, this is an excellent edition for this movie, with a particularly impressive image.
