Lawn mower deck belts

I have a 2006 GT3200 with only 49 hours of use. It’s equipped with a 60-inch deck, and the belts I install keep snapping. All the spindles and pulleys look fine, and the belt tensioner moves as it should. Any ideas what the problem might be?
