Not the worst comic adaptation from the trend. Not the best either.
Despite its extremely sluggish start and its peculiar, quite useless comic-like editing, the movie manages to rouse some interest, mainly due to the stunning, and yes, really incredible CG animated scenes.
None of the acting is really convincing though, apart from the mature part of the cast, Sam Elliott and Nick Nolte, whose sole conflict deserved a whole script, which would then have issued a better prequel than this film.
Far from reaching Singer's ethos in the current
X Men trilogy, The Hulk is still a respectable entertainment, but not of the highest significance in Ang Lee's eclectic filmography.
